How To Redirect URLs To Anywhere Using Cloudflare Page Rules

Referral plays an important role in the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) of our website, as well as converting a visitor into a customer. But sometimes we don't find a proper working method to redirect URLs or fix broken URLs and even after making changes in the DNS settings of the domain.

So today I will explain to you how to fix 404 errors or how to redirect broken 404 URLs to live URLs.

How To Redirect URLs To Anywhere Using Cloudflare Page Rules

Basically, it happens when there is a problem with our DNS records for the domain or when we buy the domain from a different domain provider website than our hosting provider website. You can fix this error by using Cloudflare's free site policy URL redirection.

What is Cloudflare?

Cloudflare is free internet protection, offers several prices for different features, and acts as a proxy layer between server and client by providing additional security layers and DDoS protection.

How to Redirect Broken URLs with Cloudflare

First of all, you need to create an account or log in to the Cloudflare website.

You can also sign up with your email once you get to your panel and then follow the given process:

  • You must enter your website domain to add a site and you must also change your existing name server to the nameserver provided by Cloudflare.

  • You must go to your domain provider's website to change your nameservers and DNS settings.

It may take a few minutes to update this setting and when you receive an email from Cloudflare that your website has been activated on Cloudflare, you can proceed with the following steps:

  • Click on your domain name button which is available in the dashboard.

  • Scroll down the sidebar until you find the Rules option.

  • Click on Create Page Rule
  • You can now enter a broken or bare URL there and select the redirect in the select configuration option.

  • Enter your destination URL and click save and deploy.

You can now add as many URLs as you want. You can also monitor these URLs from the Cloudflare dashboard.

I hope this information is useful for you.
